Question #1:

(Audio) Do I allow my kids to go to Grandpa’s even though I disagree with his lifestyle?

Answer #1:

  • If you want a relationship with him, YES!
  • You said he is a wonderful grandfather, so I would not bat an eye.
  • We all have sin in our lives. Kids don’t pick up on whether Grandpa is married or not.
  • Keep the relationship alive.

Question#2:

(Audio) The youngest of four balks at doing his chores. I have given him the bread and water treatment, and he still won’t obey.

Answer #2:

  • If he is balking that much, you are pushing too hard.
  • I’d even bet you are serving the bread and water treatment with an attitude. He will only pick up on that and power up to you.
  • I would encourage you to read Have a New Kid by Friday.
  • Listen to the podcast for a scenario you could set up to put a little pressure on him…
