Question #2:

Valerie (audio) Do I hold my 6 year old back a year, even though he seems to grasp all the concepts?

Dr. Leman’s Answer:

Generally, holding back young boys is right on. Their development is a little slower.
If he is grasping the concepts, I would be careful not to overreact. As long as the teacher has no problem with it, he could proceed.
